Demonstration: Nearpod

 

In an attempt to broaden my technological repertoire, I explored and experimented with Nearpod. I decided to use the program to upgrade a lesson I previously taught using PowerPoint. Nearpod offered many excellent features to enhance student engagement in a lesson. There are lessons, videos, and activities already available for use, or you can customize your own. My material presented on slides was enhanced with a Nearpod one-minute video and two matching activities for students to compete on their own devices during the lesson. This is a great way to keep students paying attention and take a quick formative assessment.
